According to scientific research and common experience, the order in which we list the five senses—sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste—is not arbitrary. Among these, sight or vision is considered the most significant of all the senses.

In spite of the daily “visual war” we encounter, it appears that we are well-equipped for it: approximately 65-70% of the information we gather each day is through our vision. The number of nerves associated with vision is an astounding 260 million!* In comparison, the figures for our other senses are considerably lower: only 40,000 nerves for touch, 20,000 for taste, 30,000 for hearing, and 15,000 for smell…

As one might logically deduce, at an average height of 1.55 – 1.65 meters, we humans typically “scan” products. At eye level, one encounters the most effective selling points. It is advisable to position your most profitable products there and ensure they attract your customers’ attention.
